Young Engineers is a business that is also a mission. Our goal is to prepare 4-15 year old students for the demands of the 21st century workforce. By utilizing our take on education + entertainment (Edutainment), we can produce the engineers of the future. Young Engineers was established in 2008 by the founder and CEO Mr. Amir Asor. Since it was founded, the company has been recognized by Harvard University and the European Union, in addition to winning the Global Entrepreneur of the Year award in an international YBI (Youth Business International) competition in 2011. Over the years, Young Engineers has developed proprietary educational and technological solutions. With the help of our successful franchisees, these solutions are provided through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) courses for children and youth using Algobrix®, LEGO® electronics, and Genius® construction platforms. The programs are conducted by our franchisees in kindergartens, schools, community centers, after-school centers, enrichment centers, gifted student centers, at house clubs and more.

MARKET

As technology evolves, the demand for engineers is increasing rapidly. There are consistently more computer science jobs than computer science graduates, leaving a whole new business opportunity for our franchise partners to address real world market challenges. In 2020, the number of unoccupied coding jobs will reach 1M.
Problem:
More Jobs than Students

The market for children’s development and educational programs has increased dramatically over the last decade.
The rise in children’s learning apps and educational video games also demonstrates the growing trend for combining education and entertainment.

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

Young Engineers adheres to the edutainment philosophy of tutoring, the point where education and entertainment meet. Rather than learning through repetition and memorization, the students learn by taking an active part in their own educational process.

Young Engineers programs are based on the Spiral Learning method of education, where the lessons build upon one another, making every lesson inextricably linked to the next one while covering more layers of the technological subject.

To make education a memorable and unforgettable experience, the Young Engineers PBL educational method is applied in the Young Engineers programs. PBL can be broken into 3 sub-categories:

Problem-Based Learning

helps students learn through trial and error when building and operating their models, while witnessing the lesson’s subject in action through the engagement with their models.

Project-Based Learning

entails all of the organizational, planning, teamwork and presentation skills that are involved in creating a new model in every lesson.

Product-Based Learning

occurs when the students create a model that actively demonstrates what they have learned.
MAKE A CHANGE FOR THE INDIVIDUAL STUDENT
When joining the Young Engineers family, your students will get a head start in STEM fields while developing the following skills:
Creative thinking
Problem-solving skills
Motor skills
Spatial awareness
Algorithmic thinking
Communication skills
Teamwork skills
Confidence and rhetorical skills
Our focus is to develop the next generation of engineers and scientists by providing educational solutions in the early stages of students’ cognitive development.
We hope to see you join us in this important mission.

BUSINESS MODEL

With a Young Engineers business, you can host the Young Engineers programs within schools and community centers, or you can host your students at your own Young Engineers center.

New! Young Engineers Online will help you make the most out of your protected territory by offering an unforgettable online learning experience. For more information contact your account manager.

ADVANTAGES

Host classes in your own
Young Engineers Center

The benefit of using this business model is that you can bring in-school classes to visit your center, making it an unforgettable experience for the whole class. In addition, you can operate the center during the after-school hours for students from all around your protected territory. This business model can also be combined with the hosting business model, making the most out of your protected territory.

Host your classes in schools and community centers

The benefit of using this business model is that it maximizes the access to the students, while reducing your fixed costs. In general, for a small fee, the hosting center will take care of marketing, registrations, money collection, and will cover the cost of cleaning and renting the class.

With a Young Engineers business, you can now bring state-of-the-art STEM education solutions to your community that they cannot find anywhere else

We have packed Young Engineers’ concept and system into a well-structured franchise with all the necessary tools for your business to begin performing quickly. The Young Engineers franchise package includes the following business growth catalysts:

Officially recognized by Harvard University as a STEM organization oriented for the 21st century.
Officially recognized by the European Union Commission for the brand’s excellence.
YBI 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year award was granted to Mr. Amir Asor, founder and CEO of Young Engineers.

The Young Engineers curriculum is aligned with the curriculum of the New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Statistical reports by independent researchers have demonstrated the academic improvements of Young Engineers students. We strive to continue creating educational programs and solutions that have the maximum educational impact on the 21st century skills of our children.

Young Engineers’ Research & Development teams are here to make sure that you always have the best tools for your success. As a business owner, you will enjoy our unique Young Engineers Classroom Organizer, designed for the students to create over 300 models, and for you to easily mobilize between your hosting facilities.

To fully comply with the world’s trends, we created Algobrix®, a tangible coding language and a tangible coding system designed for ages 4+. Algobrix® is currently the world’s only coding system that works just like real code while being fully tangible. Coding was never as exciting and inspiring as it is today!

To make the experience complete, Algorbix® Organizers are offered to make the learning experience structured, understandable, fun, and manageable for your daily operation.

OPERATION

Young Engineers business is designed to maximize your startup cost and increase your operational flexibility

Start-up costs

We have created several business launching packages for you. Most of our franchisees grow their business by acquiring more programs and increasing the size of their protected territory. Our franchisees have the flexibility to grow their offered programs from earned profits, or from day one.

Control your overheads

As most of our franchises are hosted in places where students are already located i.e. within schools and recreational centers. They can choose either to own their own center or be hosted in centers like schools, kindergartens, and community centers. The benefit of such an approach helps new businesses keep their costs to a minimum and increase their market access to the maximum.

Staff flexibility

Unlike other franchises, a Young Engineers franchise can run as a big or small-scale business. You can act as a one-man-show and be both an instructor and a business director, or hire instructors to run many classes simultaneously. Our franchise advisors will help you make the right decisions based on your personal aspirations.

Flexible hours

Around 70%-100% of your business earnings will be generated from running our ongoing programs.

There are three major slots for operating your business during workdays.

PROGRAMS

CLASS FLOW

Each lesson begins with an engaging theoretical discussion about a technological subject. Following the introduction, the Young Engineers Classroom Organizer and building instructions are handed out to the students. Students then build real world models, which implement the theory they have just learned. Such educational methods ensure that students have a firm grasp of the learned subjects, even if they might be perceived as advanced or complicated to understand for us, the adults.

Once the construction of the basic model is completed, students are encouraged to ‘enhance’ their models by using advanced stages, or by bringing their creativity and problem-solving skills into their creation.

At the end of class, students take apart their models and place the pieces back into their Young Engineers Classroom Organizer. This adds another layer of development to their fine motor skills and teaches students about responsibility.

ONGOING PROGRAMS

Our franchise partners enjoy a wide target customer range of between the ages 4-15. Using the MCTU (Mobile, Compact, Teaching Unit), you may easily operate any of the given programs according to your choice. Each of our ongoing programs contain at least 36 lessons.

Young Engineers courses are designed to meet students’ common cognitive abilities, and to encourage them to reach their inner potential. Thanks to this educational approach, the Young Engineers courses are suitable for anyone from the average student through gifted and special needs students.

BUILD UP
The Build Up program was designed for students on the autism spectrum. The program was developed by an occupational therapist who specializes in children with autism and developmental delays. Our vision was to create this program to help autistic students adopt the professional-technological skills of working for a technology company, but above all to better their ability to communicate with their peers. Towards achieving this goal, the program is designed to accomplish three milestones: from learning the basic construction skills and ability to play individually with their own creation, through being able to build individually and play in teams, and eventually to be able to collaborate in building a model and collaboratively play with one another.
